Data Deletion Instructions

Effective · Last updated

You can delete the data Caelpost holds about you at any time. Pick whichever option suits you below.

What data we hold

For a connected Instagram account: your account ID, username, profile picture and follower count, the access token, posts you scheduled or published with Caelpost, post insights and, if you use Comment-to-DM, the comments and messages needed to send your automated replies. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

Option 1: Delete inside Caelpost

  • To remove one account: go to Dashboard → Channels and click Disconnect. Its access tokens are deleted, its automations stop and its automation activity is deleted.
  • To remove everything: workspace owners go to Dashboard → Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Workspace. This deletes all posts, media, connected accounts and automations in that workspace.

Option 2: Remove Caelpost from Instagram

  • Open Instagram and go to your profile → menu (☰) → Settings and activity.
  • Tap Website permissions → Apps and websites.
  • Find Caelpost under Active and tap Remove.

Instagram then notifies us. We stop accessing your account immediately and, if you request data deletion there, delete the data we hold for that account and show you a confirmation code.

Option 3: Email us

Email privacy@caelpost.com from the address on your Caelpostaccount with the subject “Delete my data”. Tell us if you want everything deleted or just one connected account. We confirm by email and complete deletion within 30 days.

If you commented on or messaged a business that uses Caelpost

Email privacy@caelpost.com with your Instagram username and we will delete the comment and message records we hold about you, across every Caelpost customer, and tell you when it is done. You can also contact the business directly.

What happens after deletion

  • Access tokens are removed from our live systems immediately.
  • Account, post and automation data is deleted from our database; database backups expire on a rolling basis.
  • Posts already published on Instagram stay on Instagram. Delete them in the Instagram app if you want them gone.
  • We keep billing records only where tax law requires it.
